Join us for a taste of select Italian bubbly with Sommelier Giompolo, an Italian certified wine geek specializing in Italian wines, and wines of the world.
Mr. Fachetti will be pouring the prosecco bubbly I can’t resist for a few reasons; it’s like Champagne without the price tag, it’s lively and refreshing, with winemaker notes that range from green apple to that of brioche.
And  Prosecco is just plain Yum! Tasting fee $10
Alvise Lancieri Prosecco DOC medium extra dry – crisp with a delicate aroma of fresh fruit. $15
 Ruggeri Prosecco di Valdobbiadene Gold label DOCG extra dry – the bouquet is
 vibrant with fruity acacia flowers and citrus = perfect with fish. $25- this is a
 special treat!
Terre Gaie  Estate grown fruit from the Veneto area of Italy with a proper “brut-style” – love it!$16
Gatta Franciacorta Italian Sparking Brut – a beautiful Chardonnay and Pinot Nero with tasting notes of hazelnut, yeast, thyme and flint stone. Perfect with white meat, cheese, and fish. $45

We are a boutique wine store located in the N. Tacoma Proctor district, researching and finding small winerys that make no more than 2000 cases a year, we taste and retaste to be sure of the quality, with in depth understanding what the winemaker is accomplishing, the nuances that make great wine. David Lower started collecting small winemakers in the early 90s from Spain, Italy, Burgundy, California, Washington, Oregon. "Procuring and tasting every wine I could afford to buy was essential to gaining some idea of what exits in the wine world". Victoria Johnson is the store Manager at Black Door Wine Company, a visual artist, understands that details make all the difference in good and great wine. She enjoys exploring the wines with David developing her palate gaining a quick and refine knownledge. .
