A great Bordeaux

Hello friends,

Chateau Bellegrave Modoc 2009

Along the tasting trail-almost everyday of the week-I taste a wine that makes me ponder.  This’s that wine. Inexpensive Bordeaux can often seem too tannic, with a sharp edge and of course who can spend more than benjamin  for lovely one, certainly not offen enough! Then there’s the best situation-a good Bordeaux for less than 17 bucks? that right I’ve found one!

Definitely  worth stocking up with a case, not sure how long this will last at the store, so, until it runs out!

There’s black licorice, coffee bean and ripe fruit on the nose. Full bodied, with velvety tannins and a wonderful concentration of ripe fruit and currant. Shows tar and vanilla on the finish.

And it’s only $15.95

Cheers

David
