Tasting Saturday: Delille Cellars Event

DeLILLE CELLARS currently produces five Bordeaux-styled wines: Grand Ciel, Chaleur Estate Red, D2, Harrison Hill and Chaleur Estate Blanc. Also produced are the Doyenne wines, which include a classic northern Rhône-style Syrah – awarded as one of the great 15 Syrahs of the world; a Roussanne; Métier, a Southern Rhône-styled red wine; Métier Blanc, a Provençe-style white, and Aix, a Provençe-style red, a single red Syrah from Grand Ciel Vineyard, and our lastest addition, the Provençe/Bandol-style Rosé.  Built on a traditional Bordeaux “chai” styled winery on the family farm owned by the Lill family. This beautiful ten-acre site overlooks the Woodinville valley floor below. The traditional DeLILLE CELLARS structure allows for winemaking methods as in the finest chateaux of Bordeaux, including open top fermenters and an underground barrel cellar.

We will tasting these fabulous wines Saturday February 11th from 3-7pm

Tasting fee is $5.00

We are a boutique wine store located in the N. Tacoma Proctor district, researching and finding small winerys that make no more than 2000 cases a year, we taste and retaste to be sure of the quality, with in depth understanding what the winemaker is accomplishing, the nuances that make great wine. David Lower started collecting small winemakers in the early 90s from Spain, Italy, Burgundy, California, Washington, Oregon. "Procuring and tasting every wine I could afford to buy was essential to gaining some idea of what exits in the wine world". Victoria Johnson is the store Manager at Black Door Wine Company, a visual artist, understands that details make all the difference in good and great wine. She enjoys exploring the wines with David developing her palate gaining a quick and refine knownledge. .
