Tasting today

We recieved many new wines this week:

2009 JB Neufeld Cabernet Sauvignon-Dubrul vineyard- Wash.On the 2008 Dubrul Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon, Red Mountain”From Hugh and Kathy Shiels’ vineyard, situated on diverse soils, this deep ruby-colored wine offers an intriguing nose of raspberry, huckleberry and cassis with scents of orange peel, crushed roses, tobacco, sandalwood and eucalyptus (indicative of a 100% Cabernet). The flavors comprise an interweaving of taut red and black fruits with licorice, bittersweet chocolate, silty minerals and graphite. On the back, dried orange peel re-emerges along with notes of toffee, roasted coffee beans and nuts, coriander, cinnamon bark and semi-dried fruits on a fine-grained tannin finish.” 18.5/20 points
