AND ALSO JUST IN:

A CHARDONNAY AND A BARBERA BOTH FROM ITALY:

di Lenardo Vineyards Chardonnay Friuli Grave, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Italy

CHARDONNAY , IGT VENEZIA GIULIA

Alc. 13% by vol.

Harvest by hand. Massimo Di Lenardo is a man of unique character…Aren’t all Italian men for that matter? :-S Regardless, his wines are consistently beautiful, harvested by hand and lovingly made. His winery is located in the Friuli region in the north-east of Italy, in vineyards renowned for producing world-class Chardonnay.

The whole berries are pressed gently in a pneumatic press. After a first racking, the must is transferred to temperature-controlled fermentation still vats. The wine stayed on its fine lees during  the time before bottling.Malo-lactic done. NO OAK, Clarification of the musts made with a new “state of the art” flowtation bio-system.$13.95

This Chardonnay has somehow a slight oak nuance, even though, there is no oak contact, showing the rich, pear, tropical-ish flavors that make a great Chardonnay, not cloying to be, but, is  a very nice Chardonnay-the difference of a winemaker and a passionate winemaker!

BARBERA

A very easy going Italian wine. It is dry on the palate, with decided tannins at the end, RIPE RASPBERRIES. It will gain substance if you pair it well with your dishes GRILLED, MEATS, CHICKEN ON THE GRILL. $10.95
